If water is escaping, every minute matters. Do these four things while we are on the way — it can save you hundreds of euros in damage. We will talk you through it on the phone if you cannot find the valve.

Right to close. If the handle is stiff after years unused, use a cloth and steady pressure — do not force a corroded valve.
This drains residual pressure from the pipes and stops drips faster. The kitchen tap or a downstairs bathroom works well.
Photograph the leak and the stopcock. Send them via WhatsApp so the van arrives with the correct part loaded.
